That K-1000 had to be the best deal on a camera body I ever saw.
I think it was just over a hundred bucks at KMart. Focal plane shutter and
all. Mine still takes great photos and I hope it lasts forever. The only
thing that ever went bad was the big telephoto lens and unfortunately I
tossed it out before finding out that KMart honored the warranty and would
replace it free of charge. Oh well, I still have a couple lenses for mine.
