I used to get a free show guide with my subscription to Antique
Power magazine but it was nowhere near the guide to shows that this one
is. This is the Big Kahuna of show guides. Almost all of the big shows
have full page ads in it and the shows are listed not only by state but
chronologically as well. The guide even includes a calendar so you don't
have to walk way out in the kitchen to look at the wall calendar.

I kept my subscription to Antique Power and The Old Allis News
but let the others go for various reasons. I think I might subscribe to
the Belt Pulley for a year or so and see how I like it. Bill Boyd sent
me a half ton (seemed like it) of Belt Pulley mags to read and there are
some pretty good articles in them. I used to subscribe to Green Mag but
lost interest in it. Seemed to me they were fighting with JD about some
thing or other and it got tiresome. I really like the Two Cylinder mag
but Geez if you aren't a dyed in the wool JD fan, it goes way over your
head. These guys know exactly what every nut and bolt looks like in every
model of JD tractor ever made and how the threads were cut. They even
know how to line up the heads of bolts so all the flat sides line up. Just
kidding, of course, but that mag passed me a long time ago along with most
JD collectors.
