I know the person you are referring to-he even brings
them down here to the tulare show every April.
I had a 1959 Volvo BM 425 that I fixed up a few years
ago. It used the same Volvo B18 4 cylinder engine that
they used in the Volvo cars of that era (the ones that
looked like a 39 Ford car). The engines had a governor
and hydraulic pump added and the tractor had a 3 point
hitch. It was a nice, solid utility tractor, but I was
afraid I wouldnt be able to get parts if something
went srong-it was hard enough to find the parts I
needed for the engine rebuild. I ended up selling it
to a Swedish parts distributor in Carson City NV who
wanted to put it on display in his showrom floor. As I
recall, a Finnish company ended up buying the rights
to the Volvo tractor.
