Scrapple is a meat dish, kind of like sausage but sliced. It's usually fried
in a pan. It's found in the middle Eastern states. Since we moved from
Abingdon, MD (near Baltimore) to Nebraska back in '82, we have yet to find
it in any of the stores. Rog told me that he knows of a meat locker not too
far from here that has it. Just haven't had a chance to check it out. If
you ever get a chance to try it, you'd probably like it.

Farmer,
This got me drooling over the whole hog sandwiches at
the Wauseon show. My BIL "forced" me to try one which
led to two (or five, but who's counting).
I agree about the eateries that the locals eat at,
they wouldn't be there if it wasn't good.
The wife and her mom LOVE Cracker Barrel, and while it
always has dependable food, I'd rather stop at one of
the burger places.
OT?:: As a long time lurker I look forward to your
rambles, you're a good story teller, thanks.
