This is a plea for help from all you expert hydraulic technicians on the
list. I recently acquired an Enerpac hand pump and a couple cylinders for the low
low price of $0. One of the cylinders, a 12 ton model H-121, is leaking pretty
good. So, I contacted the local Enerpac dealer and the rebuild kit is $33 and
in stock. I downloaded the repair parts sheet from the web so, I was feeling
pretty proud of myself....until I read the repair sheet.

The directions warn the cylinder stop, the piece that holds everything
together, may be staked (whacked with a punch on the thread line) and that the stake
marks must be removed prior to disassembly. Naturally, my cylinder is staked.
How do I remove the stake marks so I can disassemble, rebuild and reassemble
this thing without wrecking it? I was thinking of using a small burr in my
Dremel tool but I don't want to goober up the threads. Any suggestions from the
more knowledgeable members of the list?

When I reassemble this I plan on using Loctite rather than staking it.
Ultimately, I'm hoping this will be a useful tool for removing and installing pins
and bushings on the MF202 loader and hoe (requsite tractor reference).
