Gene,
Do you have the dates for the March show this year?

      Farmer;
Our Land of Legend Antique Tractor Club in Newark, Ohio
meets every month. Second Wednesday. We have a membership of
nearly 300 members. Normal turnout for meetings will be between
55 and 70 members, depending on the time of year.
All major decisions are made by the general membership by
vote. We host several shows during the year, like our week long
indoor show at Indian Mound Mall in March, plow days in April
when we will plow about 300 acres in a 2 day weekend. Our club
also works with other clubs in the area and participate in
  their shows too.
We restore and raffle a tractor every other year with other
smaller prizes. The year between we usually raffle a pedal
tractor, tractor theme quilt and tractor models.
The active members socialize real well and don't seem to be
  a Clichee' bunch.

                      Gene

: Generally how often do your local tractor clubs meet?
: The local club here has a summer meeting and a winter
: meeting and that is it other than the show. The
: directors meet more often and pretty much run the
: club. When the general meetings do occur the guys that
: know each other all clump together in groups and there
: is the same as no interaction so that members can all
: become acquainted. The summer meeting is a hog roast /
: pitch-in / tractor pull and is attended pretty well.
: At the show almost all of them bring in a tractor or
: two and leave. The winter meeting is very small. It
: seems that there should be some way to cause all
: members to be more of a part of the whole. I tried
: establishing an e-mail list for the club but have not
: been very successful. It only has 6 members counting
: me and almost nobody will post or respond. I am
: wondering if a large number are not on line.
: Makes me wish I lived in north western Ohio... :-)
