Yes, I wanted something that would be more bulletproof in regards to SPAM, viruses and be easier to subscribe/unsubscribe from. Preventing SPAM on the old list is particularly time consuming - I had to make daily changes to prevent it. Majordomo has a bug that allowed non-members to post in certain circumstances and preventing that bug required hiding a particular address and daily changes was the only way I knew to make sure that by the time someone figured it out, the information they had would be obsolete. The digest list broke about 2 months ago because of this and I decided I had had enough and looked to switch.

I was thinking this weekend. I am going to be out of town several times in the month of March and wanted to make sure things were rock solid before I started heading out of town.

I will keep the prefix. The other lists will change to the new software too and have their own prefixes, though I will change them one by one after the switch of antique-tractor.

The vote looks unanimous - the "ayes" have it. I will post to the old list (and copy this new list) about the switch this afternoon. Thanks again for everyone's help and stayed tuned
