Eric,
I am in the process of dismantling a 1948 A. I haven't got to the
crankshaft yet. It will probably be a week before I get to that. I
would be willing, once I get to that point to visually check it and let
you know what it looks like. If you are interested, we can come to an
agreement.
Lou

Subject: [AJD] Drat.
I need a crank, or repair for clutch splines, on my Styled AO crank. I
came into a very nice 60 crank, with journals and bearings. It doesn't
fit. The main journals are bigger, and the journals from the later
tractor are oiled through the maincase rather than plumbed directly from
the pump like the AO.
Sooo...
The clutch side would work with only replumbing the line and making the
appropriate hole in the maincase. The flywheel side has a boss around
the journal housing which leaves about a 1/2" gap between the maincase
and housing where the oil port is. I could place a fitting in the
journal and plumb the line through a hole in the case...
Or I could trade off the very nice 60 crank and journals for a nice A
crank or repair to mine.
Any ideas?
Eric
