Walt,
	What I have found, is that if a bolt was broken trying to remove it, it 
is in there tougher than any extractor made can remove.  Then it is time 
to drill.  However, if the bolt has broken in service, such as too much 
shear load or something similar,(in other words, the bolt isn't seized 
in the hole) then the extractor will probably work just fine.  I do try 
to keep a set of them around.  Occasionally replacing the broken ones. 
<g>  Left hand drill bits work pretty good part of the time also.
