A hammer helps. Gently at first. Very gently always on cast iron. I use
brass or copper hammer on cast. Tapping the bolt or nut helps to turn the
rust into dust. Heat, then hammer, then penetrant. Maybe tap with hammer
before heating. If first attempt is not successful, heavier hammering is
available later.
