Does anybody actually have this tachometer? I have long contemplated
getting one as to check the speed on the LUS , Model E and various
sheaves on the Jd 30 combine to get the cylinder and beater bar at the
right speed for the intended crops.. Could you share your view on the
product?

Tachometers of this type are fine for their intended purpuse, but for
use with antique tractors and
farm equipment I think you would be much better served by a mechanical
dial tachometer.
Go to www.mcmaster.com and search for "tachometer"
RPM Dial Tachometer
Range: 0 to 4000 rpm
Accuracy: ±3%
Get fast rpm readings. This contact tachometer includes one cone and one
concave tip.
It has a 2 3/4" dial face with a glass cover. Housing is steel. Size is
2 3/4" Dia. x 4" Lg.
Optional 12" extension shaft gets into hard-to-reach areas.
Tachometer 1416T1 $59.88
12" Extension Shaft 1416T2 20.57
Replacement Tips 1416T3 4.69
(One Cone, One Concave)
