Dean, I thought about you when I saw them :) I figure that if a farmers wife
gets into the store this month she may buy one for her husband for Christmas
as Yakima is an agricultural city. I bought the book "The Caterpillar
Century" from motorbooks (leatherbound edition) celebrating 100 years. I have a
large collection of Caterpillar books and was wondering if you had a large
collection of John Deere books? And being you don't need any tools for a JD I was
wondering if that exhaust manifold was a screw-in type or snap-on? :) Willard

Willard:

You Know, I don't know why JD sells those tool boxes. You really don't need
to have tools when you own a JD. Maybe they are just collector items. Now if
it was a CAT tool box I would understand. :-) Happy 100th anniversary by
the way!

I'm a walking storeroom of facts..... I've just lost the key to the
storeroom door

ForGreenie's)

I was in a tool store in Yakima, WA. today and noticed a couple of tool
boxes painted John Deere green and yellow. They were made by Waterloo (a
large
manufactuer of tool boxes), and were the type you can carry (handle on top)
with one arm if you don't overfill it. It had 3 drawers and a top tray,
about 2'
long and 12" high just like the ones you see at Sears only in JD colors.
They are a limited edition and cost $70. each in the store I was in. If I
was a
Greenie I guess I would want one but I am not so there is still some left
out there for the JD guys. Willard Smith, Tacoma, WA.
