Any idea on where to get a L 306 manual for a super c mower deck ? Rick

Jim,

I think the extra letter designates the model tractor, just as you say.  My 
belly mount for the N Ford is a model L306-F-1.  The "F" must mean Ford, and

it lists many different Fords, Fordsons and Fergusons its brackets will fit.

The 3 point one which will work on most any tractor is a model RM306-3.  I 
always assumed the "RM" meant rear mount.
