[AT] Romance of Rust

I presume all you elves are working in your shops but when the time comes
that you settle down by the fire with a full stomach and watch the kids
destroy their Christmas presents, I would like to recommend a superb essay
in Harpers for January 2005, "A Romance of Rust: Nostalgia, Progress, and
the Meaning of Tools" by Donovan Hohn.  It's Hohn's exploration of his own
feelings about tools and auction sales.  It's not so much about tools
specifically as about the meaning of tools to some of us.  Excellent
reading....
