 Dear Members & particularly Mike Schmudlach, Guy Fay and Jim Becker, The owner of the IH 2424, is Jerry Pravechek.  I am his niece, not his young office girl who he pays, and who gave up on the tractor a long time ago.  While I do not know much about tractors, up until I read your rude comments on this list about my uncle-who actually gave up the search (he hasn't paid me a cent to keep looking), I was having a good time learning about them and talking to wonderful people--one of whom found a tractor that actually IS identical to ours and not just like all the other 2424's out there.  (That person was Peter at tractordata.com).   It's not that we feel our tractor may be worth thousands, neither of us are the money-hungry freaks you make us seem.  It's only that we thought we found something special.  My dad has over 23 antique tractors that he's collected and restored, and to have found a tractor that may be unusual, made it more interesting to ME.   And you're right, I!
  will continue to beat what you have dubbed, "my proverbial dead horse", because this 2424 IS NOT like every other 2424 out there.  Dealer after dealer have told us that there is no 2424 out there with our serial number and a shuttle transmission.  AND if they were so easy to come by and tons were made, why is it that we've only been able to find one other one--the guy from Illinois who has the airforce tractor, which ACTUALLY IS identical to this one.   My uncle did tell me recently that he was thinking about putting the tractor up for auction but wasn't sure who would be a good auctioneer.  If anyone has any suggestions, I would appreciate them.
