Al,  Thanks for the information.   I think we want to haul about the same 
things, and my Ford F150 is probably too light to go too heavy on the 
trailer.   I probably have to set in the wheels on the Super C, but the 
Farmall A's and Cub should fit easily within something72" between wheel 
wells.  The John Deere 420 Crawler may be too heavy (has blade) and the 
Farmall 340 may be two wide (I think the back wheels are about 8' out) for 
any trailer I could pull.

I have a Load Trail car hauler. It's 7x18, with two feet of that 18'
being a dovetail. So the "flat" part of the trailer is 16'.It has ramps
that store underneath, 7500 GWR with brakes on both axles.  I really
like it, the only things I would change on it is the location of the
license plate holder, (right on the end of the trailer, with about 3"
below the bottom of the trailer so if it bobs down the license plate
catches it) and I would add a toolbox for chains and binders.  Also I
need to purchase a spare tire assembly for it!! You could get this
particular trailer with the storable ramps or folding ramps, folding
ramps would probably be a little easier to handle but I like the fact
that they are not in the way if I want to load something longer than the
trailer floor, like lumber. I have built a set of racks about 18" tall
which fit in the stake pockets for it and have used it to haul sawdust,
mulch, etc.  I have loaded my Farmall 230 on it with one wheel slid all
the way out, and the other all the way in.  That put the tread, from
center of one tire to the center of the other, at 72".  If you greased
the fenderwells of the trailer REAL good, the 230 would go between the
fenders!  You'd probably want to set your Super C's tires in a little
closer if you were going to haul it much.  Other than the issues listed,
I really like my trailer.  It seems to be the perfect match for my Chevy
Silverado Z-71, just this spring I hauled a friend's JD B-Lindeman on a
50 mile trip one way to our club show and it handled like a dream.

My "dream trailer" would be of similar GWR, maybe boost it up to
10,000lbs.  It would be a deckover, 8' wide, 20' long and it would tilt
and have an electric winch up front.  I'm not interested in hauling big
tractors, but I would like to be able to haul a Super C, 230, JD B, etc.
with wheels set out, and haul my pull type combines.  The problem I have
found is most trailers of this type are made for backhoes and bulldozers
and are way too heavy for a pickup truck to pull, with big GWR's.  I
don't need weigh carrying capacity, I need width and length.

I have found trailers are like sheds, you can never have too many, of
all shapes and sizes! :)

I am in the market to get a trailer to haul tractors behind my Ford F150

pickup.  Any recommendations as to what I should look for and what is 
handy?  I probably will not haul anything bigger than my Farmall A's and

perhaps my Farmall Super C.     I assume a tandem axle car hauler of
some 
type would work.  I probably for the Super C need something with 72"
width 
for the back wheels of the Super C.  What has folks experiences been
with 
tilt beds versus ramps?   What else should I be looking for?
