[AJD] Early Unstyled Lighting and AO Lights

Duane/JR:

I'm not sure what you mean by DR lighting but I think we are on the same
page and in the same hymnal. My original statement was that the 7" Flat lens
AB1199R & AB1201R) light fixture wasn't available originally from the
factory on the 1936 AO and I still stand by that.

Now, I just realized there is a left and right version of these @#$%^&*
lights. I need to find out what the heck that difference is. I need to quit
looking at these Repair Catalogs! :-)

J.R. (and Dean),
That agrees with my earlier statements. To summarize my thinking, the AR
and AO were both available from the get-go with KW lighting kits (consistent
with J.R.s info and Repair Catalog 45R) When the AO was replaced with the
AOS in 1937, no KW lighting was available for the AOS (consistent with 45R
supplement). When the DR lighting systems became available "sometime in
1939 (?)", the AOS was in production (and still had no place for lights with
all the sheet metal) so the lighting systems were only for the AR
(consistent with 47R). In 1941 when the AOS was discontinued and the "AO
that looked like the AR" replaced it, DR lighting systems were available for
both the AR and AO (consistent with later parts catalogs).

> Wholesale Price List No.113 from the Moline Branch, dated November 1,
1936, lists the AA642R Electric Lighting Outfit for "AR" and "AO" Tractors
250000-up. I have seen a factory photo of a VERY early "AO" equipped with
this lighting outfit. The generator was driven from the front of the
fanshaft.
