Larry:

I don't know what brand models of tractors you have collected but I suspect
you will find that the market for toys from the 50's and 60's have gone
soft. A bit disappointing. I too quit collecting toys tractors when I could
have the real thing. 

At least on the real ones there isn't any company out making equivalent
models by the 100,000's.

LOL.  I collected toy tractors for nearly 60 years, Charlie.  But when
the prices on the toy models started rivaling the cost of the real
thing, I started switching over.  I'm now to the point of being ready to
sell some of my lifelong collection so I can buy more of the real thing.

A D-17 pedal tractor may be worth $1700 as far as I know but I promise
you 
that if I had an extra $1700 to spend on a D-17 it would be the real
thing, 
not a toy.
