Dennis,
The trouble is my dad and my brothers having no interest in old
machinery. For since time began, my dad would loan out anything to
anyone. If it wasn't something currently in use, then he didn't seem to
care if it came back. Consequently, every ne'r do well, drunk, coward,
outlaw, junk man, old school mates, etc. have helped themselves to
whatever they think they need or can sell. This has been going on for
years and years. For instance, there were 3 complete 801 hitches
hanging on the machine shed wall not too many years back. Now you can't
make up one out of the stuff that is left. What with all the tractor
and old machinery collecting going on nowadays and all the exposure on
television and such, things seem to be disappearing at a faster rate.
It might slow down one of these days, as the one brother died that would
give anyone anything. Trouble is, all the bums know what is where.
These are not thieves in the night. They are "friends and neighbors".
The place really got cleaned out with the high junk metal prices of
late. The iron man comes in and offers to clean up a bit around the
place. Boy does he ever. Parts and pieces off the walls and tools out
of the shop seem to go away along with the old rusty iron. There used
to be alot of good old green equipment there. Not anymore.

ps: I should get the pictures done tomorrow of the Rollomatic lock.
