I made a 3-speed english bike into a motorbike in 1954 using a Power Products 1 hp 2stroke driving thru the Sturmney-Archer(sp?) 3-speed hub, which lasted about 3 weeks. After that it was direct drive. It would got 35mph either way on a fairly flat road. -Bruce
