[AT] Allis Chalmers wheel disk

Hi Rob, Allis made the 200 series wheel disk in sizes from 8 feet to 15
feet acording to Swinford. He also says the 21 1/2 foot model 213 was made
for the WD 45. A friend of mine had one that was (I thought) 9 1/2 feet. I
could have been smaller. He pulled it with a CA and he told me his father
bought it with the CA. I can't confirm that is correct. Those disks were
fairly light weight and didn't cut deep. My friend was running it in light
sandy soil and used it as a finish harrow.

The Swinford book mentions the 8 foot lift type harrow you mention as being
made for the CA. To be honest it is amazing to me that a CA would handle
it. I know for a fact that my dad's D-10 had a handful with a Ford-Mac 5
foot pick up disk. However we didn't have any front end weights on the
D-10. Having power to pull it was never a problem but picking it up and
wheel slip (in real sandy land) were.
