     Walt,

         Back in 1996 I had a building built,  30 x 36,  I had a poured 
foundation put in 
     and when they put down the floor they covered the ground with a good 
size stones
     then alot of re-bar.  The floor is 5"  and as much as 8" at the walls.   
So far, NO
     cracks have developed.  There are no division relief cuts,  just one 
very nice floor.
     Luckily I had a new well drilled that same spring which enabled me to 
keep the floor
     damp for several days.   The back 1/3rd of the floor is level and the 
front  2/3rds
     slopes to the door.   The bldg it's self is steel frame w/AL siding and 
roof.
