[AT] My Portland request...

Many of us really look forward all year to the Portland show. For me
personally it is the gathering of friends more than the show. We come from
all over and from many backgrounds and situations. In the spirit of good
friendships I would like to request that "everybody" just for that week
forget that this in an election year... Nobody ever changed another
persons mind about politics by taking potshots at another persons opinions.
If you feel a snipe welling up in the back of your throat just bite your
tongue and let it die. Is it really that hard to control? Saying it will
accomplish nothing and may generate hard feelings that can ruin someone's
evening. (I'm talking both sides here guys...)
Don't get me wrong, I get a chuckle out of many of the things that
hit my private mailbox and the few that I might disagree with just slide
off, no harm, no foul. :-)
A lot of folks feel really strongly about such matters and jabbing
them while sitting around the fire contributes nothing...
Getting down off of my soapbox now and hoping that everybody here can
use enough control to keep from responding in a partisan manner. I said
both sides and I meant both sides.
