[AT] OT, sort of: Harm in keeping clutch engaged while stopped?

Mark,
What does a delivery truck  that is constantly shifting up and down all day 
long have to do with the average  driver.  I bet the whole truck was in bad 
shape do to all the stop and go.  And if they were having so much trouble why 
didn't they just get a truck with an  automatic tranny. Can't put much pressure 
on the thrust bearing by stepping the  non-existing clutch now can you.
