Spencer it could just be oil that was in the cylinders before you stated it 
up. Did you add oil to free it up then this may be what was burning. I'd watch 
it for a while to see what happens. another thing rings will set better on 
back pressure rather than under power find a long hill and let her coast down in 
high gear a few times to set the rings.
