Walt:
I have an old Craftsman too. Must have bought it in the 60's. It is still
running even with a bent crank spindle where the belt pulley attaches to the
compressor. 110 V motor. The moving people dropped it off the truck and
bent it. They paid me more for it to repair than I think I paid for it
originally. I have put it away and have never taken the time to try to fix
it. The new ones I have looked at, at Sears, don't look as sturdy to me,
especially the oil less versions. The 10 gallon tank sprung a leak a few
years ago. I put a metal screw in the hole temporarily. Still holding. :-)
Don't make them like they used to! :-)

I have an old Craftman that I bought about 30 years ago it was 220 two
cylinder. the motor ran out of something and quit they wanted $200 for a
replacement
from sears BUMMER I got a little 3600 rpm 110 on it now had to cut the load
down to 100 LBs. If I find a good motor it will still make a good
aircompressor
