I still have my QSL cards from the old CB days, I have them from almost all 
over the world and every state. I also have lots of stuff from down under those 
guys would send lots of things if connected to them. Used to tak to a guy on 
Easter Island.  I think the best was the guy from Alice springs, Austraila.  I 
ran a 100 watt kicker on side band. One day when the skip was quite good and 
the noise leval was down to nothing I talked to a friend in New South Wales on 
my 100 Milawatt walky talky hooked up to my big antenna, that was realy great 
back then. My handle was "Gator" A friend of mine had a 500 watt kicker in 
his car trunk filled the whole thing up, we used that one night and all my 
friends said that people were still trying get back to the following day. 
One day my buddy called and told me to get off the radio as the FCC boys were 
at his house.  Funny after they gave him hell for talking to Austraila on an 
illegal ham radio tune to upper CB band they just left and never did anything 
about it. A few days later we back on the air having fun.
