George the lights that Franklin invented might under the right circumstances
do something for the battery.  This would most likely happen in the area
around Goldwaith Texas.

That's exactly right, unless... the ammeter is wired backward.  Easily
checked... see which way the needle goes when the lights are on and the
engine not running.  There's no possibility the lights can charge the
battery!  :-)
