[AT] RE: OT Craftsman Compressor

Yes Farmer, it is supposed to be oiless there is no crankcase.  The rods 
have sealed ball bearings.  This is a direct drive compressor and the 220V 
motor still runs great.  Something is out of alignment....... and we can't 
figure it out.  It has eaten at least 4 rods in the last 6 months.  I was 
just hoping that there would be someone here with similar experience who 
could tell me what to look for.  The last time we put it together I turned 
it over by had and could not see or feel any tight spots or binding.  It was 
very smooth in its motion.

True but one can only spend so much on parts before they exceed the value of 
the machine.  I would like to figure out what is making it break.
