A gentleman named John Nagel wrote asking me for information on a Howard 
Rotovator he acquired from a friend. He also sent some images which I 
posted at: <http://public.fotki.com/mikesloane/tools__equipment//>, 
labeled "Howard1", "Howard2", etc. His main concern is to identify the 
engine so he can obtain parts to get the ignition working properly.

Here is his note:

hi mike,here are some pics,i think your write about being english 
motor,my friend owned it previous,but in garage for so long its been 
years,he is a machinest and maintenance freak so it was well taken care 
of.he said to me last night he thinks it was an english motor,i have 
some manuals from him,when this thing runs its a beast,need cap and 
rotor button and i no it will start.how do you find the age of it.here 
is machine number on plate 47241,,thanks john happy easter

interesting piece of equipment. I am familiar with tractor attached 
Rotovators, but I didn't realize they also made self propelled units.
