To respond to both on why use small drives for OS and then larger for 
whatever. First, Microsoft created folders for such and that is more 
efficient than multiple drives. On current hard drives and OS the more 
you have of these drives the more resources are required from your 
system and that means less efficient. These are not physical drives and 
if the drives fails all is lost. I say this just to let you know you are 
creating a bigger demand on your system plus to let you know of the 
total loss if the hard drives fails. One other factor to consider is the 
hd cache and that can cause real problems if using a small drive C: and 
getting it full.
