98 boots and closes considerably faster than later Windows OSs -- ie, it is 
much smaller.  XP seems more forgiving and self-correcting than the 
previous Windows versions.  However, 98SE seems to be a pretty strong 
system.  Using System Commander I have 98, 98SE, ME, and XP on the same 
computer.  It is interesting to compare them from time to time!
