Wayne, its mostly because of the way XP breaks the drive into two. The one 
for the XP C: drive is the smaller one and that is also where most of your 
programs will be.  XP keeps a lot of backup for the program itself and that takes 
up a lot of room. Besides an 80 gig cost no more than a smaller one and you 
sure can use the extra space. My C: drive is almost full now and I am putting 
programs on the D: drive but not all programs will work on D: drive.   A small 20 
gig will surely be full just from the XP and its programs and backups.
