[AT] Help with a 1960's? Sears-Roebuck generator set

The generator I got yesterday is a "Sears-Roebuck 5000 watt" powered by a big
Clinton single cyl engine w/ an electric starter.
It has a data plate, but it is made from aluminum "foil" and has taken a hit
in the model/serial # area so I can't read the model # except for the first
letter: "5", and the last ones: "89-0".

I can also read "Cat. No. 3189"

The engine is free and has compression, the starter spins it over well, and I
will attempt to fire it up tomorrow (when the snow stops), even though
someone has taken the electrical box (which has the switches, etc inside) apart and
screwed around in there a wee bit more than I am happy with.

I can use some help in restoring the wiring to its correct status, and so I
am asking for your help in directing me to someone who may be able to I.D. this
unit, and maybe provide some tech details as well, like horsepower, model
number, manufacturer, etc.

I have some others too: a 10KW Winco 120/240v powered by a Chinese 1 cyl
water-cooled Diesel, a Homelite 2-stroke-powered 3phase 120v (Mil surplus), and a
Kawasaki-powered 120V 4KW I got from Grainger about 20 yrs ago, but I either
have the manuals for them or else I "know" them inside-out.

Thanks

Bruce Thompson
